Rainbow Massage with Amy

Trauma-informed & LGBTQIA+ inclusive
About Amy
Amy is a trained and insured massage therapist with over 20 years experience in the field. She is LGBTQIA+, trans, poly, sex worker and disability inclusive and affirming, and provides a trauma-informed service that incorporates many different disciplines, tailoring an intuitive treatment to her clients.
Amy has a scientific and biological approach to treatment. All spiritual talk is kept to a minimum and will maintain an atmosphere of practicality around healing. Amy’s experience has led her to specialise in neuro-diverse and touch averse/touch sensitive clients, and her sessions are consent and client-focused.
She has a private treatment room in Kidbrooke, SE London, and all clients are vetted before treatment.

A typical session with me would see you arrive and we have a chat for a little while first. I invite you to release to me any stress you have been under, and let me know how you really feel. I’ll ask questions about where you hold stress, how you move, and what your intentions might be for the treatment. Often I will also state my intention for you.
As we leave the stress of the world there, I’ll ask you to undress (down to pants or naked depending how you feel, this is a strictly non-sexual space and and your comfort levels are important) and get on the table (fully covered by a sheet, and I keep you covered at all times apart from the area I am working on). I often have a heated blanket on the table, and we have lots of supportive pillows to get you really comfy.
If needed, I’ll heat up a heat pack and use it first on the back of your body. Most of the sessions are face down for the whole time, unless any font body work is needed, which I tend to do first.
I’ll then start from the feet with a reflexology massage, and work my way slowly up the body. I like to stay in communication with you, checking in, and inviting you also to check in with the areas of your body and slowly reconnect with yourself.
I use a variety of vibrating and percussive massagers and tools if you need them, with consent, to work on specific parts and issues.
As we move up the body, relaxation tends to really start to set in after I reach the hips, and I find the treatments become a little less verbal and more floaty
I finish at the head, pulling all the swirling stress and energy out, then allow you to take your time coming back. Sometimes, I’ll invite you to stretch out your body and sink into the feeling of realignment. This time is important, and not rushed where possible.
I’ll ask you to look after yourself for the next 12 hours, eat, drink and be present with your body. Then off you go

Amy is very careful to work within the bounds of comfort. Although pressure is deep, it should never hurt too much or leave bruises. Her aim is to give you all the ‘Good Pain’ endorphins and none of the ‘Bad Pain’ threat signals.
